Our Bagel Pop Up – A note from our President, Tony Ayala

It’s said that supporting small business is pivotal to the sustainability and social fabric of our communities.

I just want us to remember it’s a two-way street.

Toronto’s food banks have seen a 47% increase in visits this year and households relying on food banks have more than doubled. Our amazing partners at Daily Bread are rising to the challenge, but they need help from businesses and local farming networks. We want to answer that call. We believe we need to give back to the community that has so graciously supported us in our growth from a neighborhood brand to a national food manufacturer.

Since our inception, we have made it in the Queen St. Bakery DNA to provide continuous food donations to any charity that asks us. It’s a source of pride for our 20 front-line bakers that their hard work contributes to helping our community.

With the help of our partner The Roasted Nut, we will be handing out FREE bagels this weekend to everyone who stops by their location at 768 Queen St W, Toronto between 9am-3pm. They will be topped with amazingly delicious and premium spreads donated by The Roasted Nut. And the amazing part? For every visitor who stops by for a free bagel, we will donate another bagel directly to Daily Bread.

Our goal is to have a 1000 donations by the end of the weekend. All we need is you to show up and enjoy an amazing bagel.

How can you say no to that?

Tony
